Stories Of Resilience is a special event organized by the Brave Women's Community Theatre to support SafeHouse Denver. This event, scheduled for Saturday, March 1st, 2025, will offer guests a unique blend of listening, reflection, and community engagement in a safe and welcoming environment.
The primary goal is to raise crucial funding to enable SafeHouse Denver to continue providing essential services to survivors of relationship abuse. Furthermore, the event seeks to foster deeper empathy and understanding of the survivors' experiences. Through the power of audio stories detailing the complexities of abusive relationships—including psychological manipulation, economic dependency, and emotional entanglements—we aim to educate and challenge societal perceptions.
Attendees will enjoy an evening of light refreshments, followed by a listening session featuring survivors’ audio stories. After the stories, participants will engage in an interactive writing session, allowing them to journal and process their thoughts, feelings, and bodily responses to the narratives. This reflective practice will be accompanied by opportunities to connect with others in meaningful ways, fostering a sense of community and collective support.
All proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit SafeHouse Denver, supporting our ongoing efforts to assist survivors of relationship abuse.
